- How does my student learn best?
- What college or study environment may suit them?
- How can we support better study and homework habits?
Who Is The Program For

- Students choosing a college major or educational path

- College students reconsidering their major or career direction
What the testing covers
Highlands Ability Battery
Personal Style Assessment
Reveals how your student learns best, makes decisions, handles pressure, and does their most effective work — the personal patterns that shape every career choice.
Interests Inventory
Identifies the career fields, work environments, and college majors that will genuinely engage and motivate them — not just what sounds good, but what fits.
Your student also completes a personal discovery questionnaire — sharing their background, interests, and goals — so the guidance is built around who they are, not just their test scores!
Free Guide
Before Your Teen Picks a Major
Seven questions that tell you more about fit than any college brochure — including what to listen for in the answers. Free; we’ll email it to you.
THE TRIANGULATION METHOD
Where Abilities, Personality, and Interests Converge
No single test tells the whole story. Aptitudes show what your student can do naturally. Personal style shows how they do their best work. Interests show what will keep them engaged. The Oxford Program triangulates all three — the point where natural ability, working style, and genuine interest overlap is where the right career direction lives.
WHY IT MATTERS
What the Program Reveals
- Your student’s natural abilities and core strengths
- Career directions that fit how they’re wired
- Confidence through genuine self-understanding
- Which college majors and paths deserve a closer look
- Potential mismatches to avoid before investing years and tuition
Abilities Are Not Skills
Skills can be learned through education and practice. Natural abilities are deeper — they’re the underlying patterns in how your student approaches and performs different kinds of tasks. A student can be interested in a career but lack the natural strengths it demands, or have powerful abilities they’ve never recognized. That’s the gap the Oxford Program closes.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
More Than Test Scores
Comprehensive Career Report
A comprehensive report walking your student through their natural abilities, personal style, and interests — triangulated into very accurate and specific career matches and college majors.
Supporting Reports
Detailed breakdowns backing the findings, so the student and parents feel confident in the conclusions.
Two Hours of Follow-up Counseling
A recorded, one-on-one video counseling session to talk through the results, answer questions, and turn the findings into a clear, confident direction for your student’s future.
BACKED BY RESEARCH
In a Colorado State University study, the Highlands Ability Battery ranked #1 against the MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, and True Colors for accuracy and usefulness. This isn’t about putting your student in a box — it’s about measuring the natural abilities they were born with through timed, objective work samples.
Our experience has been that a great deal of dissatisfaction at work can be traced to having strong talents that you never use.

TESTIMONIALS
What Families Say
Dear Steve,
I want to briefly update you on our daughter. In her first few months of college, she had been a math major and then changed to chemistry. Neither seemed a match. That led us to you and the Oxford Program in November.
After taking the Highlands Ability Battery and having it explained by your consultant, she learned things about herself that she had never been able to put together. In addition, she was able to ask questions about multiple fields of study, including one she knew little about. The consultant was able from the test to demonstrate how her aptitude and personal style fit that particular field of study perhaps better than any of the four or five she was considering.
Well, at mid-semester, she changed majors again. Now, a year and a half later, she has earned a 4.0 and been awarded numerous scholarships and other awards. After recently offering her a scholarship for this coming year, one department leader told me that they were “Sorry they could only give her (an amount equaling 40% of her total expenses for the year). We wished we could give her a free ride.”
Her mom and I believe that the HAB and your company’s interpretation made a huge difference in helping her pursue these studies in such a successful way, and in the process saved much money that might have been spent investigating who knows how many other majors! Thanks very much!

I’ve taken about every psych test you can, and this was the most accurate as well as the most usable. I reviewed my results with friends who know me well and they all were in 100% agreement with what my results said about me.
— Vanessa Simms
I was so excited when I read the report and your interpretation. I’m excited that some of the things I am thinking about seem like they’d be a good match. I’m more excited about what I can and will accomplish in this field.
